What was popular in December? I was a little bit slow with the posts this month, but I made up for it with two Five Things lists for ya! December is traditionally a slow month for some, and for vendors like me, it was chaotic. We introduced some new services at EMC and still have been reeling from the PCI v2.0 release.
Here are the five most popular posts from last month:
- PCI DSS 2.0 Release and Review. For the THIRD month in a row, this post took the number 1 spot. This release is two years in the making, and the next one is due in thirty-four months. I threw together a few notes along with links to the document.
- New PCI Services from EMC/RSA. Had to plug this! We decided to get into the PCI game, but not as a QSA. If you read here often, you probably can figure out why. Regardless, check this out for the three new services we rolled out! We have a ROCK STAR team ready to deliver!
- Mixed-Mode and PCI DSS 2.0. For the second month in a row, this post took the number three spot. What is all this hubbub about? This is a post that every IT person subject to PCI DSS should read and understand before deploying a PCI DSS governed process into a virtualized environment.
- Five Things to do for PCI During the Freeze. This time of year is both very boring and very tense. KEEP THOSE SYSTEMS RUNNING! Normally that means everything stops down, but here are five things you can do during the network freeze to keep PCI alive and well!
- What About Mobile Payments? This was technically a November post, but at the end it ended up generating lots of interest in December! How do the new mobile payment platforms deal with PCI DSS? Does it complicate things? Or does it simplify? Read here to find out!
Thanks for stopping by!
