Branden’s specialties fall into two distinct areas—business and technology. He’s a born technologist, learning nearly everything he knows from curiously exploring those technologies, and building an incredible base of technical knowledge that allows him to translate between the groups that run the business and those that power it. His specialties include strategy & innovation, business intelligence, information technology, information security, marketing, research, and digital communications.
His business knowledge comes from starting and selling a company in the mid 90’s, working with a venture capital firm managing over $4 billion in assets, building consulting businesses in multi-billion dollar companies, and supporting M&A activities (both acquire and divest). Branden earned his Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing and a Masters of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management & Market Logistics. He finalized his Doctor of Business Administration with a concentration in Business Intelligence in July, 2014.
Branden has been heavily involved with payment security, helping companies cope with PCI DSS requirements (stemming from his work with Visa’s Cardholder Information Security Program, and MasterCard’s Site Data Protection program) and building sound security programs to assist with the myriad of compliance initiatives facing today’s business. This included a term on the PCI Board of Advisors from 2011 to 2013.
Recently, Branden has moved on to solving more complex security problems with data at rest, data in motion, mobile applications and platforms, cloud and virtual computing, and the advanced threats that target new technology. He is available for commissioned research projects. Contact for details!
