What was popular in November? It was all about PCI 2.0 in November, I cooked for #BSidesDFW (check out my apron), and we discussed mixed-mode virtualization with respect to PCI DSS! Look for some fun PCI stuff this month as well!
Here are the five most popular posts from last month:
- PCI DSS 2.0 Release and Review. For the second month in a row, this post took the number 1 spot. This one is two years in the making, and the next one won’t happen for three more years. I threw together a few notes along with links to the document.
- Scoping Fun with PCI DSS 2.0. How do you know what you need to do for PCI DSS unless you regularly validate the scope? Check out some tips here and some shortcuts for which to watch out.
- Mixed-Mode and PCI DSS 2.0. What is all this hubbub about? This is a post that every IT person subject to PCI DSS should read and understand before deploying a PCI DSS governed process into a virtualized environment.
- Where is Cloud in PCI DSS 2.0? Go look for it, you won’t find it! So what does this mean if you want to deploy a cloud solution in your IT Services organization? Read here for tips to know how to handle this.
- PCI SSC Releases 2.0 Versions of SAQs. The Council was quick on the draw here! Less than one month after version 2.0 was released, we saw an update of the Self Assessment Questionnaires. Glad to see these were quickly updated, and a new one was created for users of virtual terminals!
